Meet Joël, our sales representative

Being a "Joël" at Gablok means above all representing the voice of Gablok in Wallonia.

J: "I'm responsible for sales of our constructive system, mainly in Wallonia, and we're also starting to develop our presence in Flanders! 😊

In tandem with my colleague Thomas, we manage the (still) numerous requests submitted to us. These range from information to site visits, quotations, technical explanations and meetings with customers or their architects. We also market our innovative kit at regional trade fairs, and even at the BAU in Munich! GABLOK has already conquered international markets!"

An inspiring career path

J: "As I've been working since 1990, I'll cut to the chase! I devoted 30 years of my career to the non-profit sector, helping children in care and adults in precarious situations. I was also a self-builder in 2000. It was with this personal background that I instantly embraced the concept developed by Gabriel and Simon. It waslove at first sight when we met in 2020"

A 400m² project successfully completed

J: "Convincing customers to adopt our system isn't too complicated, because the product speaks for itself. However, what really stood out for me was when a very good friend (and his family), with whom I've been involved for a long time, entrusted us with the construction of their 400m² house! It was stressful at first, but six months later it wasn't anymore. They built their self-built home to perfection, and had an exceptional experience, especially on a human level."

The joy of sharing the adventure of self-building ...

J: "What excites me most about Gablok is meeting people who are taking the same step I did for my family 20 years ago, building a small house. It's the sharing of experiences, and sometimes emotions, that's so exciting every day. It'sgratifying to see other people embarking on the adventure of building."

Escape through DIY

J: "I have a passion for DIY thanks to my father, who got me started when I was a teenager. It's my only hobby, but it's a blast! It's a source of relaxation for me, the equivalent of a vegetable garden or a yoga session."

J: "After 30 years of commitment to the social sector, it goes without saying that money is not my main motivation! 😊 I'm still guided by the values that drive human beings in general: respect for others, mutual aid, empathy... In fact, these are the values I discovered in Gabriel and Simon, and which strengthened my bond with Gablok. I also appreciate surpassing oneself, courage and hard work, as they contribute to personal fulfillment, whether in the professional or personal sphere."
