Thibaut Degueldre

Project Manager

The conductor of Gablok projects

T: "I'm the key contact for our customers, making sure that their projects run smoothly, from the first Gablok drawings to delivery on site. By producing the 3D models and assembly drawings, I have in-depth knowledge of the buildings to be built, enabling me to guide the customer through the entire construction process."

From chance discovery to opportunity

T: "I'm still a rookie in the professional world, with two years' experience since I finished my construction studies in Verviers. To tell you the truth, my journey began at Gablok! I had to do an internship, and that's where I stumbled upon Gablok, or was it fate? After 4 months that proved incredibly rewarding, I was quickly hired to support the team in the face of strong growth on our sites."

Behind the Scenes at Gablok: Creating tailor-made projects

T: "My role is to gather all the information needed for each project, from architectural plans to planning permission, then transfer it to the team in-house. My daily routine also includes scheduling deliveries and creating 3D models, where rigor and concentration are essential to ensure precision before the custom machining stage. I also draw up customized assembly plans to help self-builders assemble their Gablok kit."

A Gablok Success Story...

T: "It's important to know that we carry out projects ranging from a small annex or garage to a large project such as a single-family home. Among the various projects we've completed, the one I was most enthusiastic about was a double house of over 400 m². The technical complexity was a real challenge, but our customers pulled it off brilliantly in just three weeks. There's nothing better, for a perfectionist like me, than to see that customers follow the plans to the letter and perfectly realize the assembly of their Gablok project!"

Between passion, collaboration and new projects

T: "What I love about my job is the teamwork with my colleagues in the design and production departments. Being in contact with customers and criss-crossing Wallonia to start up new projects stimulates me enormously. You could say it adds a dose of excitement to my daily life at Gablok!"

His escape outside work

T: "Outside work, I've been playing tennis and padel for several years. I'm also treasurer of a youth movement and spend a lot of time tinkering with my family."

The values that guide him on a daily basis can be summed up in a few words...

T: "The values of mutual aid, solidarity and listening are important pillars of my philosophy of life. I strive to apply them at work, collaborating with my colleagues and treating our customers, as well as in my personal life.
